Exploring the Solar System

In the unique and immersive setting of At-Bristol’s Planetarium, students examine motions of the Sun and stars across the sky before creating scientific models to explain these observations. They will be further challenged to make predictions from the surfaces of other worlds and to investigate phases of the Moon, thinking about how this relates to the nature of our Solar System. Suitable for Key Stage 2 / lower Key Stage 3 (ages 7-13) school groups*.  Visit our Education programme for more information.

Exploring the Universe

In At-Bristol’s iconic Planetarium, students will be challenged to consider how scientists develop theories from the observational evidence they gather. The life cycle of stars will be investigated along with cutting-edge astronomical images of deep space objects taken at all wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum. Students are encouraged throughout to think about how observations reveal the nature of the Universe. Suitable for upper Key Stage 3 / Key Stage 4 (ages 13+) and adult audiences*. Visit our Education programme for more information.
