The caped crusader comes to the IMAX Theatre-At-Bristol
Running from 17 June 2005
The IMAX® Theatre-At-Bristol will be offering some legendary screen action
from 17 June to 24 July 2005 with a spectacular run of Warner Bros.
Pictures Batman Begins: The IMAX Experience (2D).
Using revolutionary IMAX DMR (digital re-mastering) technology, viewers
can explore the origins of the Batman legend with unparalleled image and
sound quality. At ten times larger than in regular cinemas, it makes the
most immersive, surreal live-action film event ever.
In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce
Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight
injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns
to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses
his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the
sinister forces that threaten the city.
Based on characters created by Bob Kane, published by DC Comics, Batman
Begins has an all star cast including Michael Caine as Batman's trusted
butler, Alfred; Liam Neeson as Wayne's mentor; Katie Holmes as Rachel
Dawes, a childhood friend of Wayne's; Gary Oldman as Lieutenant James
Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. The film’s executive producers
are Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan, and screenplay is by Christopher
Nolan and David Goyer.
Simon Jones, At-Bristol’s Head of Marketing and IMAX says, ’Seeing Batman
Begins on the massive IMAX screen is truly mind-blowing. The immersive
IMAX format really draws you in to the drama, action and excitement of the
story - you don’t just watch the film, you’re in it!’
Tickets for this mysterious adventure cost £8.50 for adults, £5.50 for
children, £6.50 for concessions and £24 for a family ticket. Call 0845 345
