CRRR-UNCH TIME - THE ANT BULLY INVADES IMAX!
The Ant Bully: An IMAX 3D Experience Debuts in At-Bristol on 4 August

29 June 2006 - Opt for a uniquely entertaining cinematic experience this summer - enter the world of The Ant Bully in IMAX 3D and shrink yourself right down in size! Opening on 4 August, the IMAX Theatre-At-Bristol is the only venue in the South West, where you can see this witty and heart-warming adventure in amazing 3D.

The IMAX movie is about a 10-year-old boy, tormented by a neighbourhood bully, who takes his frustrations out on an innocent ant-hill in his yard... until the day the ants fight back! Through a magic potion they shrink him down to their size and make him live like an ant in the colony to learn their ways - a remarkable journey into a strange new world that teaches him about friendship and teamwork and gives him the courage to stand up for himself.

"IMAX has the power to engage audiences in a unique way, which works perfectly for a story like this, where you want to leave the real world behind and follow this 10-year-old kid underground into the ant colony or through the wilds of his own front lawn," says John A. Davis writer/director of The Ant Bully. "Part of his adventure is seeing things he's never seen before and seeing familiar things from a whole new perspective, and we'd love for audiences to take that amazing journey with him."

Based on a storybook by John Nickle, the movie is written and directed by Academy Award nominated filmmaker John A. Davis (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius). The Ant Bully is produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman of The Polar Express, with voice-overs by Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Paul Giamatti, Regina King, Bruce Campbell and Lily Tomlin.

"The Ant Bully is going to be the family film of the summer holidays and watching it in IMAX is really the ultimate way to enjoy the film. As well as the giant screen and fantastic sound system the IMAX version of the film will be in 3D, just as it was with The Polar Express! This will really make it a unique cinematic experience and we are anticipating it will be amazingly popular in 3D." says Simon Jones, Head of Marketing, At-Bristol.

The Ant Bully debuts concurrently with the nationwide 35mm release from Warner Bros. Pictures and select IMAX theatres in UK.

This picture marks Playtone's third IMAX film project (Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D; The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience), and Warner Bros. Pictures' tenth film commitment to IMAX.

The movie is digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (digital re-mastering) technology.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6.50 for children and the movie is PG certified. For bookings and film schedule please call 0845 345 1235.
