CHARRRGE...IT'S OPEN SEASON IN 3D!
Sneak previews of Open Season: An IMAX 3D Experience on 7 and 8 October
29 September 2006 - It will be a wild wild adventure through the
wilderness this October in the IMAX Theatre-At-Bristol with Open Season,
Columbia Pictures' newest animation film in 3D!
Open Season: An IMAX 3D Experience (PG) will debut simultaneously with the
35mm release nationwide on 13 October, with special preview on 7 and 8
October in At-Bristol. At-Bristol is the only theatre to play Open Season
in giant screen 3D format across the South West.
"Open Season 3D is a must watch for families or anyone looking for
entertaining fun during this half-term holiday! The 3D effect offers the
sensation of being not just inside the theatre, but almost inside the
movie itself. Audiences will duck for cover as acorns fly overhead and
feel the roller-coaster-like thrill of going over waterfalls, all on the
giant screen and will literally be able to feel the sound thanks to the
state-of-the-art digital surround sound." Says Simon Jones, IMAX manager.
In this animated action-adventure comedy Open Season, Boog (Martin
Lawrence), a grizzly bear with no survival skills, has his perfect world
turned upside-down when he meets Elliot (Ashton Kutcher), a scrawny,
fast-talking wild mule deer. When Elliot convinces Boog to desert his
idyllic existence living in a garage decked out with all the comforts of
home, and try the "wild" life, things quickly spiral out of control. With
open season upon them, Elliot must help Boog get in touch with his inner
grizzly to unite the woodland creatures and take the forest back!
Open Season is based on the humour of cartoonist Steve Moore ("In the
Bleachers"), directed by Roger Allers of The Lion King and Jill Culton of
Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story 2. The producer is Michelle Murdocca of the
popular animation films Stuart Little and Stuart Little 2.
The film is backed by a strong voice cast, including UK's favourite
comedian, Billy Connolly as well as Debra Messing, Martin Lawrence and
Ashton Kutcher.

Note to Editors:
1. The IMAX® Theatre-At-Bristol is the first and only
large-format cinema in the South West. With the biggest cinema screen in
the West of England - standing four storeys high and large enough to see a
whale life-size - the IMAX® Theatre pulls audiences right into the heart
of the action in a way no ordinary film presentation can. (Registered
