Mum, I want to be a Geisha!
Explore-At-Bristol, 24 & 27 October 2006

23 October 2006 - Nothing else to do this half-term? How about becoming a Geisha, Fagin, clown or a freak?!

Children from across the region are spending an unique half-term holiday in At-Bristol with Tessa Butt, who will turn them into outrageous, wacky or even ghoulish characters!

Tessa is a professional make-up artist and she will be joining the public at the science centre on 24 and 27 October, exploring the science of illusions using cosmetic artistry.

This is part of At-Bristol’s popular Meet-the-Expert programme and part of a series of interactive and hands-on programmes themed on illusions for this half-term.

Worked on more than 150 shows over the last 30 years, Tessa has made numerous famous stage characters come alive, including those from the Sound of Music. She has also worked on several well-known projects such as the Sideshow and the Fun Factory, and worked with leading organisations including Bristol Old Vic, Hippodrome, Aardman and the BBC.

Drop in from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm, on 24 and 27 October. Programme will be held at Explore-At-Bristol and is free with every ticket to Explore.
