Funded by The Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council

Using exciting specialist equipment and techniques together with Explore’s interactive galleries, Live Science zone and Planetarium, students will learn to navigate the night sky, investigate the nature of light, and explore deep space.

 Professional astronomers will be on-hand to challenge and guide students as they explore coloured stars, evolving galaxies and close encounters of the massive kind!

Students will develop the following skills during the course of the week

  • literacy and numeracy skills

  • communication skills

  • teamwork skills

  • IT skills

Duration: 5 days. Each day runs from 10:00 – 15:00 (these times are flexible)
Minimum number of students: 20
Maximum number of students: 30
