Schools across Newport and Swansea are closed on Friday 01 October for the 2010 Ryder Cup. The inset day, which has been arranged in an attempt to reduce traffic levels, could leave around 50,000 pupils at a loss for what to do – that’s presuming they are not golfing fans! But never fear - At-Bristol, the hands-on science centre, on Bristol’s Harbourside has a solution…
At-Bristol's Brownie Sleepover Success

Over 200 Brownies from across the South West settled for the night in At-Bristol, on Bristol's harbourside, for a fabulously action packed sleepover on Saturday 25th September. The event jointly celebrated Girlguiding UK’s centenary and At-Bristol’s 10th birthday and was the first ever sleepover to be hosted by the science centre.

200 Brownies Take Over At-Bristol For Its First Ever Sleepover Event

There’ll be plenty of whizz, bang, wallops on the night of Saturday, 25th September 2010 when 200 Brownies from across the South West will take over At-Bristol for the science centre’s very first fabulously action packed sleepover. This event will form part of a joint celebration to mark Girlguiding’s centenary and At-Bristol’s 10th birthday.
Toddlers Take Over At-Bristol in an Exclusive Day for Under Fives

At-Bristol, the leading science attraction on Bristol’s Harbourside, is holding its first ever Toddler Takeover day on Friday 17 September. ‘Splish, Splash Splosh!’ is a watery themed day devoted exclusively to under five year olds.

At-Bristol’s ‘walk-in womb’ is having its first major maintenance in the 10 years it’s been in the venue during the refresh happening next week (6-10 September) when the venue, with exception of the shop and café, will be closed to visitors.
