School engagement programme

This is a brand new scheme that aims to help schools and groups unable to visit
At-Bristol because of geographical, social or economic barriers.

This is part of our commitment to making science accessible to all.

Funded visits are only available between September and March. Deadlines for application are:

• 15 June: for visits between September and December
• 1 November: for visits between January and March

Applications will be assessed twice a year on set criteria including:

• Percentage of free school meals
• Level of special educational needs
• Level of attainment in science
• Type of school
• Geographical barriers

Successful schools and groups will be entitled to a visit to At-Bristol and a school workshop or Live Science show and a visit to the Planetarium (subject to availability).

We have limited funding to help with travel costs and a small number of outreach visits available.
